The rooms are clean, while a bit dated. I could see where there had been recent fixes/updates, especially in the rooms bathroom. The location was quiet and a nice walk to town. It is what to be expected for the price.
My expectations were low and they were not met, starting with the fact that the bathroom door will not shut. The bedding appeared to be clean but little else was. No one appears to have cleaned the windowsills or dusted the headboards or nightstands for quite some time. To be fair, the windows open and the lot is gravel, but this appeared to be more than couple days worth of dirt. Nasty rooms, old old beds. Staff treats you like you're an idiot. Got double charged and they argued about it. Didn't fell safe
After a day of exploring the area, we required a place to rest for the night. Our purpose for being there was not to experience the lodge itself but rather to enjoy what the area has to offer. It is essential to consider whether you are seeking a restful sleep and the assurance of safety and security, knowing that your belongings are secure, and I firmly believe that Aspen Inn provided what we needed.
