Whenever I am in Newport, even just driving through, I have to stop at Asiatico. My family has been coming here for at least a decade. The restaurant has a gorgeous view, the wait staff is always kind, and the food speaks for itself. You can tell the ingredients are fresh and the chefs care about what they do. I highly recommend trying the seasonal dishes that they rotate throughout the year. The seasonal drinks are great too along with their selection of sake. This is a restaurant I will always support.
Fresh local caught ingredients for this sushi! Loved the fresh aspect, flavors were amazing. Chose two rolls that had fresh slices of salmon and the other tuna. Both were great, but both were sliced just a bit too thick. It did make the texture a little much. The staff were amazing. Friendly and welcoming, seemed genuine and added to our enjoyment. Definitely recommend!
This was my favorite Sushi restaurant. We travel from Florence just because we love the Big Daddy and the Little Mama. I don’t know what the served today but it definitely wasn’t the usual Sushi. It was tasteless and not at all what we’re accustomed to there. Hopefully this was a one time mistake. The server was excellent though and you can’t beat sitting outside on the bay. Well give them another try and see if they can fix the Sushi like it once was.
Best sushi for miles around. My wife and I live near Lincoln City and come here almost every time we visit Newport.
The monkfish liver, oyster aphrodisiac, the oregon roll and the yuzu whiskey sour are just amazing. I cannot compliment everything about this place enough. The drinks are perfect, the food is perfect, the service is awesome, and the vibe is pretty chill and muted. I've been here four times in the past couple weeks, and I'm always torn between here and Local Oceans
