Yesterday evening (Oct 28.25) we discovered that our furnace was not providing warm air although the fan was functioning. As an Ashton Advantage Protection Plan subscriber I contacted the emergency number and scheduled a service call for later in the evening. Although on another call, the Service Technician (I believe his name is 'Japn') estimated and achieved an arrival time and proceeded to rectify the problem quickly, efficiently and courteously. Ashton has been taking care of our strata apartment for the last 3 years. Prices are fair and always responds to emergencies quickly.
I have owned a home in Vancouver for 30 years, and in that time have dealt with several companies selling me hot water tanks, furnaces and heat pumps. This year I had to replace all three - a gas furnace, heat pump/AC and installed a tankless hot water system - yikes! I have never had such a knowledgeable, thorough and professional installation!! Thanks to Mark, Saheed and Bin for installing our Heat Pump. Ours was a difficult one as we had to deal with a lot of Strata and provincial bureaucracy.
do NOT use Ashton to install a heat pump! After 2 1/2 years the refrigerant starting leaking away, so we couldn't heat the house properly in February. A temporary fix of topping up the refrigerant got us through the winter, but when the weather warmed up the cooling function stopped working after a couple of weeks. The fix (by another company), which took two tries, was to redo the connections of the refrigerant line which were done improperly.
