I was referred to Dr. Ekdawy for a biopsy on a new, small lump in my breast. I have had a larger lump in the same breast for several years. Dr. Ekdawy strongly recommended that both lumps be removed so surgery was scheduled. I received a second opinion in Sacramento and was told the standard of care across the country is an ultrasound guided needle biopsy performed by a radiologist, not surgery. Ultimately, no biopsy was necessary and I'm on a 6 month check-up. I would never recommend Ekdawy
Had an urgent laparoscopic cholecystectomy, during which the Dr. found my other health problems and made appropriate referrals and suggested other procedure to take care of an issue that I procrastinated to take care of for over 10 years (my father had the same procedure done before and I knew it was very painful!) Dr. Ekdawy took his time explaining pros and cons of the issue and the procedure, made sure I felt comfortable before the procedure, and provided appropriate attention during post-op.
