Clean and comfortable.
Only had one bad experience with Dr theakston. Same doctor who has been issuing me a controlled drug I am now trying to get off. Went to see the real professionals who advise I be taken off what he is giving me and prescribed new medication immediately. This was over 3weeks ago. Made a complaint to ICB where I then got a reply that the medication will be sorted the following week. That following week has now passed on and still no medication. We have been with this practice for over 6 years. Currently there are serious on going health concerns and the quality of care and service being received is appalling and worrying; notes not being updated correctly so effective treatment not given; limited/confusing information leaving no-one sure what is supposed to happen. Never thought a GP practice could be so bad.
Got an appointment next day because I was prepared to travel to Matlock surgery. I was seen on time by Dr Laura Styles, she was everything that you could ask for in a doctor! Thorough, understanding happy to answer questions an amazing doctor!!!
Recently moved out of Ashover and now not with this amazing surgery. The last 2 years extensive health needs and the care has been exemplary from Dr Theakston Dr Vernon& Dr Bastable A big thanks to Amanda, Elaine in reception too. Again thanks from 2 grateful now ex patients
