Would not recommend Dr. Schmieg. She does not appear to be very knowledgeable of specific medical conditions. On several occasions she was unwilling to listen, rude, and once appeared to be disgusted by looking at an infection. She often did not want to address follow-up questions or issues. The last time after I saw her, she refused to provide follow up care and I was left to seek treatment in the emergency room.
Went to see Dr. Schmieg after receiving a nerve injury to my face that was causing both mental and physical symptoms. Dr. Schmieg blew me off telling me I was just having a nervous breakdown and that my injuries weren’t serious. She was annoyed when I went back to see her a second time because I still was not getting better. Later another doctor diagnosed me with a nerve injury that caused the brain to go into overdrive producing the symptoms I was having.
