Updated 1/13: I came in for flu testing and was immediately given a room.The nurse Kimberly D got started right away and started swabbing my nose. She immediately let me know she was testing for both COVID and strep and would send those out first before sending out the flu test. When I let her know that I did not want to be tested for COVID or strep, she said, oh well, it's already been done. I saw Dr. Muhr twice. During my initial patient visit, I noticed that she became hyper-fixated on my asthma as the main chronic condition I live with. This was despite my documented history - including to the intake nurse that day - with anxiety and depression. She prescribed a medication that she said all of her patients loved to treat my asthma and that none experienced, as she said, *those* side effects. I was immediately turned off by the desk reception that works with this doctor. She stated I was "doctor hopping" and implied that I was basically using them for just a quick visit when I simply wanted to switch Primary doctors. I've been looking for a good primary doctor for a while, and wanted to find a primary doctor closer to me in Aurora. This alone was a turn off for me. I hope the desk receptionist learns better manners when talking to patients.
Dr Ashley Muhr is my primary doctor. I am so incredibly lucky to have found her. She is extremely knowledgeable, kindhearted, patient centered and will always advocate for your best interest. I came in to see her for reoccurring blood in urine for years. She was the first doctor to look back into years of labs and raise genuine concern about something i've been dealing with for years.
