This review is long overdue. My experience with Dr. Ashley Benda, DO, after my miscarriage was not just disappointing—it was deeply traumatic and the result of incompetent care. She performed my D&C after a missed miscarriage. Over a month later, I returned to her office still bleeding, with detectable HCG levels. Instead of ordering an ultrasound or taking my symptoms seriously, she brushed it off, telling me it was “decidua or a decidual cast, which is just a thick wall of endometrium.” That’s a direct quote. Benda has poor bedside manner and does not listen to the patient. She was condescending during a follow up and I would not recommend! I’ve been going to UCLA for 15 years and have always had elite care. This was by far the worst experience yet.
My kid and I have been going to her for a few years now. She is the most thoughtful and thorough doctor I have ever been to. I cannot recommend her enough. The staff that work at the office are also fantastic.
This was my first visit to Dr. Benda for my annual gyn checkup. Dr. Benda’s staff members were each friendly, welcoming and helpful from check-in to checkout. Dr. Benda was one of the most empathetic, genuine, caring doctors I’ve met. She took her time to answer my questions and hear my concerns. Her answers were knowledgeable and well thought out. She’s very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain potential risks and benefits of various treatment approaches. Highly recommend. The office and staff are lovely as well.
