I have always been thankful for my experience at Ashley 21 years ago and no doubt it continues to put most on the path to recovery. After two brief relapses, I returned recently—primarily hoping for some individual and group therapy that met my specific needs. It became clear that the program was not designed for this. I went to Ashley when I was 19. Overall the facility was nice and the Techs were all amazing. But, my therapist was horribleeeee!!! One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. We were given an assignment to write out our whole life stories and share them with our groups. After I read mine, she told me I was “selfish and had hurt a lot of people”…like uh “no shit, I’m 19 in rehab for a fentanyl addiction” lol. I was so humiliated. I am incredibly grateful for Ashley and the amazing staff. Ashley runs a phenomenal program, and the team has always gone above and beyond. The campus itself is a beautiful and safe environment. When I think of Ashley, the alumni team especially stands out—their continued care and support for patients is unmatched!
