I switched OBGYN’s after my former doctor moved offices. I went to see Dr. Gehlot for an IUD removal. I had 2 other removals before without any issues. Dr. Gehlot had me make a consult appointment which I paid for after just seeing her for an annual, then she attempted to remove the IUD on a separate visit but was unable to locate it, so I made a 3rd appointment for ultrasound imaging, then a 4th for dilation without success. Dr. Gehlot came highly recommended by a family member, and now I understand why. At my recent appointment, I realized the type of visit I had scheduled wouldn’t allow time to discuss my menopausal symptoms and I’d have to book another exam. In that moment, I just absolutely lost it. All the stress, pain, and frustration from past doctor visits came crashing down resulting in uncontrollable tears.
