Why make me drive thirty plus minutes for a five minute consultation? The information given could been provided over the phone shortly after my sleep study. Instead I waited three months for my five minute result. I wonder how much Medicare will be billed for this service?
Very disappointing experience with Ashford Cardiac Clinic. Before my appointment I contacted the clinic to explain I could only pay through a trust account using bank transfer methods like BSB/account number or BPAY. Despite this, I was told they would only accept card or money order payments. When I tried to discuss this with the accounts manager, I found the interaction extremely patronising and unprofessional. Unfortunately a bad experience. Dr Sanaz was very rude and initially I thought she was just having a bad day until the follow up appointment she was no different and it was sort of funny to see patients say hi to a doctor and for herself to not acknowledge them. Weird. Because my sleep was ‘fine’ and I had no sleep apnea I got wrote off. No consideration that maybe I need more sleep or the quality of sleep but she went off what the ‘ average person’ needs. For patients with POTS, hEDs and fatigue as a main symptom steer clear from Dr Malik. I trusted this specialist but was told to push through debilitating fatigue and participate in graded exercise therapy, which is VERY harmful and incorrect advice to give pots patients that have fatigue, as pots is very often comorbid with mecfs (often not diagnosed soon enough), and exercise and pushing through symptoms with this comorbidity is extremely dangerous and can result in permanent, more severe levels of disability, which is exac... read more
