I waited 3 weeks for my appointment. They sent me no informaion ahead of time then told me they don't take my insurance and. I would have to pay $3,000 for evaluation. I said no thanks. They should have notified me sooner .

I have an appointment scheduled with these folks for an assessment. I had to reschedule due to unforeseen vet bills. The people I have spoken with have been lovely. With that said, when I called to reschedule, I had to speak to an AI and was told that my call would be returned within 24 hours. With the amount of money these assessments cost, I expect to speak to a human during business hours. Update 4/29/2026 - I received an apology phone message and email. The apology was heartfelt and showed empathy for my inconvenience and for my disappointment at not gaining information from an intake consult. I plan to contact Asheville Testing again in the future to try again. I had a really terrible experience with Simon, the psychiatrist who conducted my testing and review. He claimed I was too smart to have ADHD and my OCD (which I am diagnosed and medicated for) is not real. There were several things I specifically said were not caused by anxiety, yet in my report he said all the things I mentioned were only symptoms of anxiety. Asheville Testing is great at what they do! The staff are friendly and take care answer every question. The whole experience is very easy. Highly recommend!
