He (Steve) may do good work, but that doesn't excuse his rudeness. Because of this, I won't go back and I won't recommend him to others. He's not the only stained glass artisan in town,

Steve is an artist and an artisan who has done multiple pieces for us over the last 30 years and although we have moved from Kentucky to Montana and than to Sarasota they always go with us. Has it taken patience with Steve-yes, but it always get done and you end up with a museum quality work of art. One must give him some room and we understand that.

We ordered a custom 30"x48" piece from Steve. Should be done by December. Cannot wait to see the design and the progress on it.

I first met Steve McLester over a year ago and upon entering his shop I was immediately impressed by the quality of his work. He graciously showed me around his studio. As an artist and a former college teacher of art, I recognized the superior craftsmanship in the design and construction of his stained glass windows. He showed me some of the pieces that he was working on and I was amazed at the amount of detail and excellent execution of his work.
