Im August of 2024 I was hospitalized after experiencing one of the worst flare ups I have had ever. I was hospitalized for 6 days. There is where I was introduced to Dr. Muthalaly. While she does present as a very intelligent and confident doctor, I happened to perceive her approach and care as my rheumatologist to be extremely abrasive, dismissive, invalidating and rushed. I was scary sick when I first saw Dr. Muthalaly. There was no clear diagnosis to my complicated case. What I appreciate most is that she took a lot of time to communicate well with my other doctors to find a treatment plan. All three of them have commented on how much they respect her. I'd say that's better than any recommendation I can give!
When deciding on a treatment plan, my input and concerns are heard and considered. She goes above and beyond for her patients and is one of the best doctors that I have come across. I would definitely recommend her to others!
great rheumatologist asha muthalaly has been working with me for over a year trying to find the best solution for my arthritis we finally found one! she goes out of her way to make sure I'm doing well and everything is in order when I switch back and fourth through insurances the staff is also super friendly and help with all of my needs and questions if there's a wait to be seen there's a reason! she's good at what she does!
I prefer my doctors to be non-authoritarian, nonjudgmental, and not jump to conclusions based on subjective biases which creates Visit Summary Notes laden with twisted words and lies that other doctors subsequently read. It would be nice if staff was not involved with processing prescription refills with errors, as well as denying refills. She was my big mistake this year but I managed to find a safer provider. If you like her, to each their own.
