From what I'm gathering the saff is the problem. I don't get it. I have always nothing but the best. I had a issue with my dad, I was having trouble getting a messages for a different doctor and they couldn't have been more helpful, all the people at the desk got involved in help me. Now for Dr. Iyer, she took her time explaining to me what my problem was. She helped me weigh the pros and cons (first thing I said to the Dr. was I don't want another back surgery. She sent me for MRI and then discussed the options. She didn't ... read more

Dr. Iyer is a great doctor. She is comprehensive, patient, and thorough. She spent a good amount of time talking to me, and explained my symptoms completely. She also recommended I get a couple tests done for her to better diagnose me. Great doctor, would go back to her again!

Dr. Iyer is a great doctor, the staff is the problem, her staff does not respond to emails, calls, or notes. Trust me I had a terrible experience in that hospital, I should of listen to the reviews. The nurses in the outpatient were great but inside the admission was horrible, especially the night shift (who got into a fist fight) I would never do another surgery there!!! This is my 2nd time contacting Patient Services. Still no callback. I’m disabled and have to go all the way to Clark New Jersey just to speak with someone ... read more

I am sure that Dr Iyer is a caring, qualified neurosurgeon. The problem is getting passed the office staff who are inconsiderate and borderline rude. I was just on the phone with a person trying to schedule an appointment with Dr Iyer who kept trying to get me to see the PA first, even though I have a referral from the orthopedic surgeon to see a neurosurgeon. She asked no questions about what the problem is, am I in pain (which I am) or what the MRI said - but simply "you have to follow the procedure". Inconsiderate and dis... read more

Patient has had never ever met/seen this Neurosurgeon Dr. Asha Iyer. However, as strange as it could be, this doctor sent a written message to an ER patient's PCP that she "discussed the patient on 05/11/2023" falsifying written symptoms supplied by patient. Which is also in JFK Hospital patient records. When in ER on 05/22/2023, another resident Dr. Singh referred to this Dr. Iyer's note and fought with the ER patient. "Fought" because Dr. Iyer's falsified notes were paramount for resident Dr. Singh as opposed to Patient's ... read more
