Very disappointing response from a 24/7 urgent care clinic. A patient suddenly collapsed at work, became stiff, lost sensation in her limbs, complained of severe abdominal pain, and was unable to move. We went to White Cross expecting immediate assistance. As healthcare professionals ourselves, we understand how triage works. Genuine medical emergencies should be prioritised. This is a very bad clinic to go to if you don’t have a life and death situation. I’ve waited for more than 3 hours just to see a nurse and after 4 hours still no sign of a doctor. They kept prioritising others supposedly more urgent cases over you if you don’t look like you’re suffering or dying. To make things worse they make you pay as you register so you can’t even leave if you’re tired of waiting. It costs $164 in the evening for casual walk ins.
