I've been a member for more than 40 years.
Ascent is honestly one of the worst financial institutions I have had to deal with. I used to be glad that I had membership with one of my local financial institutions. But in the last two years it has become nightmare with the way they handle fees and paying bills. I'm so glad I steered clear of them when shopping for mortgage assistance. Do yourself a favor and steer clear of them for everything. Banking, credit cards, car loans, mortgages, everything. They'll just waste your time and collect fees.
Ascent (Weber State) Credit Union has always been great to work with! I don't know how I feel about them merging with Golden West though. I guess time will tell.
