My sister's blood pressure was 175/112 an Dr Carter told her it was a non emergency an she needed to follow up with her family dr even tho the walk in clinic told us to go to the ER.. that's basically refusing to treat a patient. Salem hospital already has went to crap an now the Dr don't care about his patient he shouldn't be fired.

Recently, I visited this hospital due to an urgent stomach pain. It turned out to be my usual kidney stones. I must say, the service I received was truly remarkable. The nurses were thorough and compassionate, while the doctor was prompt and ensured a comprehensive examination. Recently, this hospital has gained quite a negative reputation. However, I personally had a positive experience there. Given the limited medical resources in our region, driving over an hour in any direction was not a viable option. From a late night ER visit to my yearly screening tests, I have always been impressed with the kindness and professionalism and knowledge of the people who work at Ascension St. Vincent. Radiology and the Lab and Registration, as well as the nurses and doctors, exhibit such a caring attitude. My family as well as my grand children and friends have all trusted Ascension St. Vincent with their health and well being. This hospital cares!
