Was surprised at the lack of what I thought would be common testing available at the ER. No ultrasound, no ct/ptscans. They couldn’t even run an INR report but had to send blood work to heart hospital to b tested. With an hour wait for results. So when testing needed I was told to go home and they would call me to come back for testing. I understand cost cuts, we are all struggling but there needs to be a stopping place for some areas. I'm the past, for various injuries and illnesses, a visit to St. Vincent Carmel was ideal. This time, due to the collection of seemingly unrelated conditions from which I'm suffering, I felt as though they were not sufficiently motivated to pursue a diagnosis. Instead, I felt as though I had confused them. I was discharged without a diagnosis or a treatment plan.

I was taken back to a room right away and seen by my nurse, Brittany, within minutes. I was then seen by a doctor, given medicine and had a ct scan within 1/2 hour. Blake was awesome at starting my IV with only one stick! I was lucky that my tests and bloodwork looked good and I was able to come home that same night

Wait was almost two hours once I was in my bay. Only one Doctor on staff on a Saturday. Having said that. My doctor who attended to me -Bryce, was outstanding. He apologized for the wait. Even though there were several patients with worse conditions than me, he treated me as if I was the most important patient at the time. I really appreciated his knowledge and most importantly, his next step actions to help with my condition.

I went to St. Vincent’s Carmel the other night and received very good care from everyone I encountered from the check in person to when I left several hours later. They took care of me right away and it was just a bit complicated and so took a while to achieve everything. I’ve had to go there several times myself and have taken family members there as well and this has been true every time. I had gone to other nearby hospitals and not had good experiences, which is why I now choose St. Vincent’s, Carmel, every time.
