Ohhh Tawas City you need to do better...you totally missed my daughter's 2 broken spots on her spine...T6 and T7...her large hematoma...and her burst ovarian cyst...you also missed my husband's everything that was wrong and he was flight lifted to saginaw ICU...my brother in law has 2 broken ribs...and a shattered right foot...that definitely needs surgery...non weight bearing with crutches...West Branch emergency room is way better
I have to do a shout out for all the staff that helped us today...emergency room was packed...but every single nurse and Dr. were wonderful...this momma is very blessed...thank you for caring for my daughter...my husband...and my brother in law...especially the nurse in the emergency department named Amy...she is a Godsend...so thank you all for what you do...YOU MATTER!
On June 25th I went to the ER in Tawas City because I had a good feeling I broke my toe when my boat trailers trailer jack wheel (solid plastic) rolled over my big toe. I went to the ER to see if this was in fact a break or not due to concerns of the location being a joint in my toe. The ER was extremely slow with few patients present, yet the visit took a long time after images were taken of the problem location for anyone to come back to the room. I waited 5 hours alone in the waiting room. I'm finally in a room and the male nurse informed me it would probably be an even longer wait because there's only 1 doctor. Right now, I'm on another 30 min wait in the room. This hospital is filled with pleasant staff but I'm confused as to whose working? Update: In total, I spent 8 hours here. They're clearly under staffed, overworked, and probably under paid. Because this hospital has no structure, urgency to care for patients or the desire to go above an beyond.
