Once I delivered, the nurses in the OB / newborn part of the hospital were great. The OB ER however was not up to the same standard. The nurses stabbed me 4 times with an IV and the first time, the nurse / technician hit a nerve in my hand. This caused excruciating pain and I screamed out that something was wrong but she didn’t take it out for several minutes. She attempted 3 more times before finally getting an IV in. Horrendous practices and a complete disregard for you or your wants. Don't expect to get what you discussed here, they have a record of changing treatment at the last second with no communication.

If I could give this place negative stars I would. They take advantage of patients and over bill as much as they can. It’s all about pumping money out of patients and not providing care. There are good people that work here but what the hospital admin does should be criminal. Avoid this place at all cost because they will try to take as much money from you as they can.

This review is specifically for the OBGYN ER, I’ve had other experiences with St. Thomas, so I know its just this department that is horrible and not the hospital as a whole. I was sent by my doctor who was concerned I was experiencing an ectopic pregnancy due to a sharp pain in my side. The nurse who was working made, an already traumatic experience, so much worse and was incredibly rude.
