Staff on site were caring and kind- billing was highway robbery. I was seen for what was ultimately a minor injury that did not require any type of bloodwork or hospitalization. I wasn't even given a physical exam. I was seen by a nurse who took my vitals, waited for about 45 minutes, then spoke to a doctor who did not examine me. I was sent home with a script. They were lovely people: none of the above bothers me. What bothers me is that this visit cost $1745. No one from their Customer Service call center (including th... read more

Horrible Dr. I wouldn’t recommend him to anybody. Very disappointed especially for him to be an oncologist. Absolutely no bedside manner. The wait to see him is terrible 4 hours? I have a life too. I told one of the nurses there about my experience and they said wow I thought he was only an asshole to us but I see he is with his patients as well.

READ THIS IF YOU ARE PREGNANT AND CONSIDERING HAVING YOUR BABY HERE. My wife had a legitimately perfect pregnancy—to the extent she made it look easy and our friends and family noticed. What transpired from labor to almost a year later was a nightmare. I will keep the next chain of events and medical problems brief as I want to highlight the experience:  During labor there was failure in communication between the staff as they allowed my wife to stay dilated 9cm for over 8 hours. So we were instructed to do a c-section. M... read more

My husband and I have had numerous visits to Providence in the past several years.  His recent visit was for three days. And he was on the 4th floor north.  We wanted to thank the wonderful nursing staff that took care of him.  Special thanks to RN Erica Danko who was very kind, patient, and efficient and very easy to talk to.  Also great care from Bry Hutton and Anna.  They all came quickly when called and brought him everything he needed, explained meds, etc.   thanks again and to others that didnt remember your names…. Bi... read more

Did you know the Pulmonologist and other medical professionals use that huge building next to the hospital as mere satellite. 2 days a month if we are lucky. We must be the red headed stepchild of medical centers. Very discouraging. No answers on phones. Poor service. We are told to visit Riverside or southside if you want REAL SERVICE. Everyone wants to drive 25-35 miles more to see a doctor RIGHT.

Bureaucracy rules over patient care.  I called for an appointment with a written referral from my doctor in hand. Would they give me an appointment? No! I have to make the fourty minute drive from home just to get the appointment. Can’t give me an appointment until they have that referral in hand. Waste of time and gas as well as insinuated that I do not have referral, that I am a liar. Is that “care”?

I have several serious concerns about the care my brother received. I called the director or nursing - no response. I wrote a detailed letter to the ceo- no response. I wrote a complaint on their website form - no response. I will be phoning the Illinois health department. I am stunned that I have gotten absolutely no response from the hospital.

My care was not great. I was robbed! I had been shopping and didn't know I would be in the ER & hospital. I was given pain meds which put me to sleep. I had my purse in bed with me. Someone came in, took my purse and robbed me as I lay unconscious and helpless. The good people were great. The bad people were liars and thieves.

This place has gone downhill and anyone you love should not be treated here. Sadly there is an influx of migrants which does cause overstressed staff and poor-quality services due to the high demand and turnover. Daughter was admitted at 11am and we sat just to get check into labor and delivery at 7pm as a scheduled delivery. So many "emergencies" that took precedence over my daughters scheduled visit. Could not eat until the next day :(
