If you live between Delnor and Mercy, go to Delnor. I have lived in Aurora unfortunately since 2002. I have gone there twice. Once when my baby had a high fever and rash over his trunk and no one could figure it out. These stupid, reckless, unprofessional nurses stuck my baby over ten times to try and get a vein when they had a phlebotomist on staff. You MORONS! As a new mom I didn’t know I could ask for a specialist. My baby was writhing in pain and they asked US TO HOLD HIM DOWN. Those nurses are the bottom of the barrel w... read more
Do Not go to this hospital! I was visiting a relative in the Behavioral dept were patients were watching TV of a show on how to kill your wife and baby! The show they were watching showed step by step on how to do it. The nurses were not paying any attention to the patients but gossiping to each other. Then when we tried to have our relative transferred to another hospital they wouldn't do it. They started telling lies about the patient to us. All day long the patient asked to see the social worker and at the end of the day ... read more
One star is way to good for this place! I would never go here again. The behavior health program is horrible.
I have an immediate family member that has been in ICU for 6 days. While we appreciate hard work that most of the nurses have been doing, it will be reported to administration how one shift of nurses cannot get themselves off their chairs or away from their computers, looking at wedding pictures and vacation plans. Using their cell phones to take pictures of their butts, laughing and fixing their hair for most of the day. We did not ask for pillows to be fluffed, we only asked for things that we could not do and that we felt... read more
All hospital patients need to stop their complaining and think about what the're there for. You are in the hospital for medical treatment. The nurses and doctors are professionals and competent in what they are there to do... to save your but. Not kiss it. The hospital is not a hotel. Patients have no idea what it takes to be a nurse or doctor. Patient's survival and health needs are the priority of the nurse and doctor. If you expect to be waited on hand and foot and think you're the only patient in the hospital, think agai... read more
I was at Provena Mercy Hospital on 7/11 for surgery that required 1-1/2 days in ICU. The nurses were rude, and did not want to cooperate when I told them I was in so much pain I could hardly stand it. The ICU unit was unbelievably loud and the room was not very clean. After being taken up to a regular room, I was put into a room with a woman who was about 98 years old and dying. I am 50 years old and was in for a procedure that was somewhat minor. This room smelt of poop and pee and the woman would get irate with the nurses ... read more
