To save money and to take away jobs from America, Ascension has people overseas handling Ascension's billing and the representatives are horrible. I had another unfortunate interaction with them. Banned for life from service at Ascension in wichita ks for SIMPLY SAYING ILL ASK MY LAWYER ABOUT THAT. DOCTOR THEN SENT A LETTER SAYING SHE WOULD TREAT ME ON EMERGENCY BASES UNTIL I FOUND ANOTHER PROVIDER. THEN THE CORPORATE OFFICE TWISTED IT INTO I MADE A THREAT OF VIOLENCE WITHOUT ANY PROVE. SLANDERING MY NAME AND CAUSING ME HARM BY CANCELING MY HEALTH CARE. NOBODY EVER THREATENED VIOLENCE A THREAT OF MALPRACTICE SUIT IS NOT A THREAT OF VIOLENCE.
I received a billing for services provided a year ago, that were NOT me! I haven't been treated by St. Vincent (now Ascension) since 2011. Customer service goes to a call center SomeWhereintheWorld. ALL the different customer service phones numbers go to the call center. Website customer care only responds that the billing is correct and closes the message. The billing at Ascension is a complete nightmare. I would recommend avoiding this hospital and doctor’s office system. They do not properly file claims with insurance and then when the error is brought to their attention they claim they will resubmit while at the same time send you bills for the full amount daily and claim they have not heard from you. Dishonest practices.
I have an issue with a provider in Freeport Florida. I have written many e=mails and letters. I am always told Some will reach out to me soon. Never happens. The only associate to call me, office manager, and she doesn't have authority over physicians. Phillip Smith APRN and Dr George Ross, dictated in my chart that I abuse alcohol because I have one drink daily.
