I have my mother in an assisted living ascension facility Chicago. Direct care staff are wonderful but management not so much. They raised my mother's monthly rent by 10% ($600), and she hasn't even been there a full year. I received the notification the third of the month and the rent increase started the following month. I received a bill from Ascension St. Vincent’s for a hospital visit in January. I paid the bill for $195 on March 25th, 2025, and got the confirmation number (I even called the automated line to make sure it went through and it said I owed zero). I wish I had recorded that message because I received a new bill regarding the same visit for $170). You can see from the printed image how they edited numbers to make it seem like I owed more but the total is the same. My daughter tried to call the billing department, on June 19th ... read more

If I could give Acension a negative star I certainly would. I left ascension in December 2022. I have never gone back all because they changed their billing/accounting. The doctors were great . In 2023 I fought with ascension to get my account straightened out - it was a nightmare!! I have been using Theda care since 2023. Now in October 2025, ascension is trying to get me to pay a balance of $124.97 from 11/1/2022!! I first started receiving the past due notices in July 2025. Banned for life from service at Ascension in wichita ks for SIMPLY SAYING ILL ASK MY LAWYER ABOUT THAT. DOCTOR THEN SENT A LETTER SAYING SHE WOULD TREAT ME ON EMERGENCY BASES UNTIL I FOUND ANOTHER PROVIDER. THEN THE CORPORATE OFFICE TWISTED IT INTO I MADE A THREAT OF VIOLENCE WITHOUT ANY PROVE.
