I will start off by saying the staff are great. Very friendly and engaging. Unfortunately this establishment is lacking in safety inspections and protocols. On my first visit with my children I was standing on a hold that ripped out of the wall 10ft up because it was secured with wood screws that resulted in a large gash on my leg. Grips are supposed to be bolted to a wall, not secured with screws. I also noticed several grips that were loose and instead of being removed were marked with duct tape. I run my own business and love what I do. I can only hope that my customers can see as much of my passion as we could see from the people at Ascension. They were super friendly and helpful with everything from shoe rentals, a quick safety intro, to friendly pointers on tricky features. We had a great time, got in some solid exercise, and were challenged both well within and to the absolute end of our current abilities. So much fun. My 10 yr old son and I found this little gem online, went and had a blast. Awesome customer service - knowledgeable and patient teachers of the sport. It was great being outdoors and enjoying the fresh air while we climbed. Can’t wait to see how this place grows and gets better… and go back again!
