ANSWER TO ASAP ALTERATIONS IS TERRIBLE AND OVER PRICED SERVICE!!!!! I am the owner of ASAP . I have been in business 17 years. I just had to come on and give my side of the stories. Anonymous 6/17/08 failed to tell that on the door and wall there were notices stating when I was going on vacation. Also there was a notice on her receipt. Her due date for when her dress was done was the week before I went on vacation. Excellent alterations – I have used A.S.A.P for a number of years and have always been completely satisfied. I need pants altered on a regular basis because of my height and weight and never have I been dissappointed with the fit when completed. The skill of sewing came when I had a favorite coat that had somehow became shreded and needed some imagination and resourcefulness to fix. ASAP ALTERATIONS IS TERRIBLE I dropped my dress off 3 weeks ago to get altered for a wedding I am IN that I am traveling to Toronto Canda for. One week goes by, no call that it is ready, another 6 days goes by, I call them to learn the ARE CLOSED FOR VACATION FOR A WEEK WITH MY DRESS LOCKED INSIDE! I had two business days to try to get my dress out of there while they are on vacation! I guess I will never know what the alterations are like or see the dress again. Poor Alterations, Dreadful Customer Service – I trusted ASAP with altering a bridesmaid dress. The service was very poorly performed and took much longer than it should have. My dress was ruined when it was hemmed too short (and uneven at place) and the sides taken in too much. Upon entering the shop you feel as though you are bothering the seamstress. The customer service is non-existent. I would not recommend ASAP alterations to any of my family or friends and will never do business with them again. The entire experience w... read more
