He's no-nonsense, doesn't beat around the bush, and tells it like it is. He has a dry sense of humor that a lot of people don't understand, but I sure do and I think it's great. However, his no-nonsense bedside manner turns many people off which is why, I think, he doesn't have good reviews overall, but I want the truth as succinctly as possible. Dr. Stone has been my Pulmonologist for 20 years. He is a very caring and kind physician. He takes the time for each patient. I am a complicated patient and I trust him 1000%.
If you’re looking for a pulmonologist find another one. Pass this one
not good with testing for cystic fibrosis!! He didn’t want to do a sweat test. He only did a 60 panel which was negative like mine. He knew my gene was rear and proceed to still test the 60. Guess what negative! Also did not do a pft.. went to another doctor and his pft is 64% so now we are re testing him for CF immediately the correct way how I was diagnosed. With a pft like that and no treatments I’m scared for him. I am worried sick!! We both left the practice and seeking help from elsewhere due to this huge issue
Disturbing - AND THE WORST DOCTOR EVER!!! He went to see her at the hospital and was EXTREMELY rude. He hasn't even looked at the test results for the lungs yet. He told her, "no one cares if you die, only you" " there's nothing more we do, what more do you want from us... you should move so you don't have stairs and if you have trouble breathing from one room to the next, oh well, you're 84 (then he reached over and grabbed her stomach and said)..and this doesn't help either!! WORST DOC!
I understand why so many people aren't happy with Dr. Stone, but their reasons seem to be why I'm thrilled to have him as my pulmonologist. He doesn't sugar-coat anything, his bedside manner is matter-of-fact, not warm and fuzzy, he tells it like it is without any of common evasions such as "well, everybody is different" or "we never know for sure." When my husband asked what my prognosis was, Dr. Stone simply said "She's going to get worse. It's progressive no matter what we do."
Dr. Stone is absolutely the best ! I have been under his care for CF for over 10 years. I came from a doc who was arrogant and did not offer any good solutions for what I needed. The day I met Dr. Stone I knew I was in the right place. He is quite the opposite! He is caring, kind, he listens and offers sound advice. I highly recommend him and his team. The office has always been polite and helpful. Thank you for helping with CF and it's challenges.
