A building from the 1920s has been renovated and transformed into the Arts Incubator, specially for the purpose of hosting the Arts + Public Life initiative, an endeavor by the University of Chicago. Situated in the Washington Park neighborhood in Chicago's South Side, it was the brainchild of artist Theaster Gates, and has given a whole new life to a previously derelict space. Hosted here are various art exhibitions, musical performances and cultural events.
