Enjoying the process of making art. I have been attending classes at The Artist Within for several years. Dawn has created an atmosphere that encourages students to try new and, in some cases, more challenging projects. She is always available to answer a question or guide the student to a solution if there is a problem. I enjoy my hours in the studio and appreciate the encouragement I get from Dawn.
Changed my life The Artist Within offers a wonderful opportunity for new and seasoned artist. I am in my 60's and have never painted before. I have been with Dawn Petty for 2 years and I am amazed at my work. The atmosphere is warm and friendly, no pressure but great direction and support.The best thing I have done for myself in years!!!!

Left Hanging I hate to write a review likethis but it has been a few years now, and I still hold the same opinion, even when examining my perspective in different ways. Dawn is a beautiful person, but Dawn does not guard your experience at her studio from disruptive young artists at her studio. I had one artist that would cuss constantly, and talked loud enough to disrupt my rhought processes while painting. Awesome Art Dawn and her studio are unbelievable - her adult classes allow you to work at your own pace in whatever medium you choose and her classes for kids are creative and also teach many mediums with addtional information on artists, etc. She is fabulous and I love her and so do my children.
The Artist Within This studio is so special, Dawn encourages all the kids to explore their creativity using all kinds of mediums. She dedicates herself to helping each and every one of her students as individuals and to create a safe environment for the kids. She cares deeply all of her students, and the kids absolutely love her. They have so much fun learning to create amazing art while meeting new friends.
The Artist Within Dawn Petty is the owner and art teacher of the Artist Within. Dawn is very nurturing, understanding & encouraging to all of her students. The Artist Within S.Student This is an amazing art studio. I would recommend this studio to everyone I know that Loves art. I heard about it from one of my friends. Dawn Petty is an amazing art teacher and she will always help you but, will never make it her own painting. It's a world class studio!!!!!
Artist Within Dawn Petty has built an amazing studio for kids and adults to enjoy. I, as well as so many of my friends there, look forward to my time at the studio. Adult classes are for all levels, have fun people and is a great escape. Everyone works on their own projects and interests and ends up with something to enjoy forever. My daughter has also taken a kid class and loved it. Dawn is an excellent art teacher for adults and kids. Really worth checking out.
