I visited here 7 years ago when Masa was in the smaller location next-door. On this return trip to Vancouver, this spot was on the “must visit” at Granville Island. I was very happy to see Masa still behind the scenes. Definitely try the Sake flights at this place if you are in the area
Awesome locally produced sake. Knowledgeable staff. Brewed on premise.
Artisan Sake Maker is a unique spot for anyone interested in Japanese sake. The staff take the time to explain the different styles and flavour profiles. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and it’s a great place to discover local, small-batch sake made right here in BC. Whether you’re looking to pick up a bottle or enjoy a tasting, this is visit worth with some friends.
I wasn't that impressed with the amazake I had at the Powell St Festival - it tasted rather watery.
Sake was good. Kid working there with off duty young person didn't seem to notice or care much that customers were in an empty place.
Artisan SakeMaker has a 4.5 star rating with 206 reviews.
Artisan SakeMaker is closed now. It will open tomorrow at 11:30 a.m.
