Artis Potomac (AP) is a wonderful place for our mother. Our mother is 93 years old, active, and independent. Due to her memory loss, she cannot live without supervision. She joined the Artis Potomac community seven months ago and engages in the activities and other services provided to all residents. Artis Potomac is great. My wife is a resident at Artis, and I have the opportunity to visit almost daily, and interact with the Administrative staff and Care Partners. They are all empathetic, respectful and cheerful. They very obviously truly have the best interests of the residents at heart. It is difficult to single out one individual by name. I will however submit that John Allen Yutzy (administration) is high on my list. In spite of his many duties, he comes by to visit the residents daily. Artis of Potomac is a wonderfully appointed community thoughtfully providing excellent care, nutrition and activities for its residents. My experience is based on two family members being residents for over a year each and getting to know the excellent staff and caregivers. I’d especially would like to point out John Allen, Ashley Sanchez and Lheo Jose.
This is a belated, yet heartfelt thank you to the Artis of Potomac community for the incredible Mother’s Day brunch they hosted for residents and their families. I was wowed by everything from the decor to the amazing meal to the live music on the patio! And what really stood out is how the care partners made every single resident feel included, whether they had a family member present or not. And I can honestly say, this is the case every day.
