Artis Senior Living of Potomac is a truly exceptional memory care facility. Mom has been in assisted living/memory care for over 11 years. Since arriving at Artis in March of 2025, she has been happy for the first time. Artis really knows what they are doing. The caregivers are loving and provide excellent care and the staff is professional, caring and attentive.
Our family is so grateful for the Artis community that lovingly cared for my father-in-law, Bill, especially in the last months of his life.
10k/month gets fake eggs and microwave biscuits/tatertots and a tiny room with no private family seating. They try to avoid even letting visitors see the rooms. Good reviews here likely reflect priorities. If your loved one’s spirit is already extinguished, much of this might not matter. There is no place better for your loved one with dementia than Artis. My mother was absolutely so challenging to manage once she got dementia and needed care and she was very difficult because she was contrary and didn't want any help or anyone to come near her. She became suspicious and distrustful of everybody. She stopped eating and taking care of herself in every way imaginable.
