The perfect blend of 'shack' and 'luxury'. I love being able to sit outside by the firepot, which is nicely sheltered even from rain and a moderately nasty westerly straight off the ocean, with a frankly inspiring view of the surf at the river mouth, whilst sinking a longneck or two with my tunes on the outdoor Bluetooth speakers, to then decide that it's time to change it up to a candle lit spa with the Mrs indoors... Central location to revisit the NW, exploring & photographing the phenomenal coastlines. Unexpected strong naked eye Aurora the first night, brilliant viewing from Edge of the World platform. Winter is by far the best time to experience this region, regardless the weather, the ferocity of the coastline is enhanced with knowing of returning to a warm & cosy property to relax, with the heaters on already, making the property warm & welcoming due to arriving in the dark.
