The staff and nurses at the Artesia Sleep Center are genuinely kind and caring. Unfortunately, the process for getting a CPAP order signed has been incredibly frustrating and slow. We are now on week three of waiting for a doctor to sign the prescription so my hard-working husband can finally get restful sleep instead of repeatedly gasping and choking for air at night. The worse hospital ever. Been sitting here for almost 5 hours while they have all of the test results but their is only on doctor in the er. We will get a hourly bill for the room but they and the doctor is sitting but they told me they have all of the results. If my husband wasn't so sick we would of went to Carlsbad. I can't wait to move the health care in New Mexico sucks.

Highly recommend this place, if you enjoy being dehumanized and humiliated I have never had nurses as sadistic as the Night Shift in the ER. You’ve been warned.(Head nurse yanked my catheter out and then tried to shove another one in while infected; all the while mocking me. Traumatizing to say the least)

They are trying to keep up with demand but getting a return call or getting an appointment is not going to be easy. Also you have to make sure to get there really early for your appointment or you might not be seen because lines can be long & staff in short supply.

Waiting to be seen for longer than 2 hours and there very few people in the waiting room. They cared more about a cat outside then they did about the patients in the waiting room.
