Caring, kind and funny. Dr S was so fantastic for my procedure. He helped get me in quickly and helped ease my nerves the day of.
I have had many surgeries for this problem and this is the first time a doctor has ever taken time during my hospital stay, not once, but three times, To pull up a chair, get to know me, explain things to me, walk the hallway with me. I am almost a month out from a recurrent incisional hernia, and the difference I feel already is unbelievable. I wish I found him 3 years ago.
Dr. Shmelev did my hernia surgery via robotics. He was wonderful and has a hella bedside manner. Highly recommend him. He's awesome
