I just did the Introduction to Art Therapy workshop with Su Mei, and found it to be so generative, healing and exciting. The way Su Mei carefully framed the session with sensitivity and warmth enabled me to truly open my mind and heart to learning, loving and integrating the knowledge she so helpfully shared. I participated in Su Mei’s Embodied Resilience workshop in KL few weeks ago. It was an intimate small group of 6. Su Mei held the space so well with great compassion. I felt a sense of safety in the group. She first gave us an understanding of our trauma responses through a polyvagal lens. Then, she gently took us through several movement and art experientials. Art therapy sessions with Su Mei were immensely helpful in approaching difficult emotions that go deeper than rational thought. The art therapy process establishes a safe and open field to develop self-trust. Su Mei is professional, experienced and warm. Highly recommended.
