I discovered this shop in Rocky Harbour as it was close by the Gros Morne Cabins where we stayed for a few nights. First of all, the purpose-built shop and studio is very unique - part of a minke whale skeleton waits just inside the door and the cash desk is made from a family member's fishing boat. Of all the shops selling work by Newfoundland artists that we visited on this trip, this one was by far my favourite. Trying to narrow down which pieces I wanted (by space in my luggage and budget) was the challenging part. I settled on multiple items that I absolutely love, but I’m still dreaming of a piece I saw that was (sadly) already sold. I loved how she represented then ocean in her work, in multiple mediums. I highly recommend visiting here and considering taking home one of Miranda’s pieces of art.
