I was a patient of Dr Patel for 20 years. I think she stopped listening and let her personal beliefs cloud her judgement in treating patients. What a lovely and kind doctor, but for years I was not getting the treatment I needed.
This woman treated my mother VERY disrespectfully a few years ago. My mom was a regular patient of hers at Aurora Healthcare, going on for years. This disrespectful and rude woman yelled at my mother in office while treating her as if she was deaf by doing sign language at her. My mother, being the saint she is, did not report her to the medical boards at the time. I believe this woman should have her medical license revoked. I have been a patient of Dr Patel for over 15 years, my son was a patient before he moved out west, my best friend was a parent ( how crazy is that - same doctor and we didn’t realize it for years) before moving overseas. Dr. Patel is kind, a great listener. I may not always agree with her, but she is a fantastic doctor. Her recommendations for specialists (when necessary) are just as wonderful. I had been a patient of Dr Patel since 2019. I have asthma and allergy issues. I had been constantly in and out of hospital for asthma due to allergy triggers. She kept prescribing me the same meds. Last 2 years, It got to point where I couldn’t breathe on my own and I started depending on prednisone. I explained to her the meds she prescribed were not effective at all. Nothing changed. Dr. Patel is my mom's doctor. She is very compassionate and listens to our concerns. She takes her time and explains things and shows that she really cares for her patients. I would highly recommend her. I wanted her to be my PCP but at the time she was not taking new patients.
