If your from NY and miss food – I am now a huge fan!!! Finally a place that knows how to make a chicken Parm and other food just like NY. I dont mind spending money on food when I know what I am getting. I miss food like my mother made. It takes time to make great Italian food. I know that time has been put into their food. I really like chicken parm and I hate to say it but no place in charlotte does it right. Only at Aroojis is this dish just like getting it from my local pizza place in Freeport. As a New Yorker for all my... read more

Not for people that know what to eat – Me and my boyfriend go out to eat every week and like to try different restaurants and cuisines, we're restaurant industry people. This was a hit and miss. The food was very mediocre and we both came to a conclusion that we would be better off getting some wings at a sports bar rather than overpaying for lame food dishes. The ambiance was good, but about the only thing. Whoever did the winelist doesn't know that Champagne and Sparkling Wine are 2 different things. I would image a restau... read more

Great Food and Service but for not for Special Occasions – Steve Arooji is a very warm engaging owner. I need to note that I will not spend my next Birthday or any special occasion there as this is the second year I've celebrated there and not so much as a complimentary beverage or piece of cake (both the manger and Arroji were aware of the occasion). Food and music was great and I believe Arooji deeply cares about his customers but must have a policy not to acknowledge special occasions. I need to point out that even Macaro... read more

I Forgot about this Place – My Wife and I went to Starbucks. We drove by Wolfgang and it had shut down. Aroojis was next door and thought to try them. There food was a twist on typical Italian food. I had the Chicken Special and my Wife had the Salmon Piccata. I order that now when I go back. The food was worth the price we paid. We do not eat out often. When we do eat out we try to eat heathly no additives food. They had MusicIan playing by the door. He was able to play a song by The Beatles my wife and I both like. The pla... read more

Outstanding Italian food. The best I have found in Charlotte thus far. I've been several times and recommend the Penne alla Vodka or Celentani Bolognese. Also, their wine selection is A+

better stay home – When you go to a restaurant like Arooji's , you come with high expectations. the "buzz" around the place and the web sight show a lot of self significance. looking at the menu and how its priced makes your expectations go even higher. when our dishes arrived to the table we knew that its going to be a long way down to the crash. the pasta with salsiche which is an Italian sausage made us wonder if we entered an "olive garden" brunch by mistake. the lobster ravioli was the kind you can find in the refrigera... read more
