New Ownership and Management I have had the opportunity to visit Aroma Spa three times since the transition to new ownership last summer. Each visit has been a very pleasant occasion, and I will return as a regular customer. I have lower back issues that have been a problem for years, and my preference is for deep muscle work to relieve tightness. Found a nice gem of a place. Call to see if they had availability. And they told me, had someone after a hour available. Location is great, easy to find, was greeted by friendly staff. The masseuse was attentive and ask what was some my pain points. Managed to take those and some knots I had. Will return again, as service and staff are very helpful and friendly.
Today was visiting a friend in San Mateo, two hours early, so decided to look around and see what was available. Entered and the staff greeted me, they had availability, usually I call to make sure they could accommodate me. The staff was friendly and greeted me cheerfully. Enter the room, looked clean and tidy. I got ready on the bench, told my masseuse that I had some tightness and sore legs. She took care of all my knots, gave good attention to my legs as I asked. The massage was okay. I was pressured to give 25% tip and was also charged a 5% fee that wasn’t included in the menu.
