I had a consultation with him after another doctor caused me to have more TMJ joint issues and a bite issue. He took his time and answered questions. However, I did not go with him because after doing my own research I believe what he was proposing was not correct for me and may have made my joints worse. At the time of my consultation my tmj was very unstable. To my knowledge, if I would have started the treatment while unstable it could have made alignment worse and clenching worse. I also did not have sleep apnea.
I couldn’t be more impressed with Dr. McGuire. He is incredibly knowledgeable and experienced, especially when it comes to airway-focused orthodontics. It’s clear he truly cares about his patients — he takes the time to explain everything thoroughly and make sure all of our questions are answered.
