Go see the Magnolia and Cherry Blossom trees in Bloom in late April, and Lilac bushes in May. Beautiful place to spend an afternoon.
Perhaps not high on the list of tourist attractions, but it should be! Beautiful trees, shrubs, ponds and gardens, with plenty of labels to identify the flora.

I was very disappointed but the new design of the Eleanor Cabot Bradley "rose garden". Formerly it was a great collection of rosaceous plants. Now it's nothing more the the whiff of a theme park. There was broken glass and other garbage on the bench dedicated to the garden's donor's honor. I was very saddened. I was the first dedicated gardener to the space and I thought that the Arboretum have dropped its mission in a disgraceful way.
