We paid over $6,000 (plus cash tips to the workers) to move the household goods of two adults, all of which fit into a ~1,000 square foot condo, from Wisconsin to Arizona. And every single thing that we didn't pack ourselves, was bashed, dented, cracked, gouged, and just generally beat to holy hell. We have prized possessions we've owned for over 20 years that have been through several cross-country and regional, and cross-town moves.
