We had Armstrong Alterna LVT installed in 2011 hoping it would last for many years. Our experience has not been a satisfying one. The product began to scratch in several areas, and it has also begun to peel in another section. The major problem, however, runs through the entire floor. Because of the textured finish, dirt builds up in the crevices even though we mop weekly using Armstrong-approved products. I purchased some peel and stick tiles to complete a closet project, no actual traffic, no water, really no foot traffic or wear. I did the floor, and the walls, the following day the tiles were lifting off the floor, and fell off the wall. I examined the tiles and realized that the glue backing was entirely inadequate to the task, after a phone call to Armstrong, they confirmed that it had to be put on in a unreasonable set of conditions, First could not be mounted on a wall, Why Not?
