With a new to us, 68-year old MGA roadster, I called around Bellingham to see who could inspect it and make brake adjustments. The mechanics we contacted ran, but not Alex, who routinely tackles classic vehicles. He fit us in for a 28-point inspection and drive test: fluids, mechanicals, electrics and more checked, brakes now strong. He even discovered and photographed previous body damage from incorrect lift points on the frame. Efficient and professional service for our peace of mind!
The best shop I've been to. They take care of your vehicle and have fantastic pricing. They communicate with you about things and are quick to fix your vehicle. The only place I take my cars to anymore.
Armstrong Family auto was a complete life saver on our summer trip. They did some excellent work for us at 100k miles and when the alternator went out the next week on our cross state road trip, Alex went above and beyond to help come and get us fixed up. Truly the best, most reliable mechanic I've ever used! He saved our summer!
(edit because he responded. It's not a 1996, it's a 2001. There is no front end damage whatsoever so I don't know what the hell he's talking about. My mom literally called him at least 4 times and left messages 2 of those times. We drove the car less than 100 miles after he "replaced" the trans range sensor. He's a mechanic so he should know you can clear the check engine light and that if the check engine light pops back up after you replaced a part then obviously something was wrong with the part. Don't ever bring your car to this guy. We brought the car to him 3 months ago to diagnose what was wrong with the car and he diagnosed it as the transmission range sensor and charged us $300 to fix it. Told us that the part he ordered was bad and had to order a new part. Put in the new part and we were still having issues so had us come back and he charged us to clean the MAF and still were having issues and he started ignoring our phone calls.
