Oh no! I was shocked to see the reviews because my experience was so opposite. He spent 30 minutes with me answering all my questions with very thorough answers that I could understand, even if it meant repeating himself. He was so patient and kind. Also, having only seen him once before I was hospitalized for my seizure, he was completely self informed on all the information and data involving my health status. I am glad to see that he’s no longer my daughter’s doctor. Patients deserve better! I would describe our visits as dismissive. Also.. it is quite important to have eyes on the patient at least once during the visit . I had to remind him. I shouldn’t have to explain why. (Our visits were virtual)
Inexperienced and dismissive, not willing to listen to patients
I recently was curious on what Dr Jewell's ratings were online, and it was so validating to see the low ratings. I waited to see Dr Jewell for about six months for my initial appointment, and brought in several pages of hand written notes on my health concerns, and brought my grandmother along with me for support. Dr. Jewel has been my Neurologist for over 2 years but has been significantly unhelpful with diagnosing and treating me. I had to request referrals to other specilists and find my own doctors to help me further after a lack of insight, input and action by Dr. Jewel despite my chronic condition impacting my life and getting worse in some ways.
