Dr. Jewel has been my Neurologist for over 2 years but has been significantly unhelpful with diagnosing and treating me. I had to request referrals to other specilists and find my own doctors to help me further after a lack of insight, input and action by Dr. Jewel despite my chronic condition impacting my life and getting worse in some ways. Was referred to him for seizure-like symptoms and neurological pain. From the jump, he was belittling, rude, and asked “what do you want me to do about it?”. Proceeded to order a battery of tests, gave me a “probably nothing to worry about”, and then refused to answer questions. When I voiced my frustrations, I was told “then find another doctor”.
My experience with Dr. Jewell was awful. He was incredibly rude to my dad and I, he didn't do a thorough examination, misdiagnosed me, put words in my mouth, and in general was very aggressive for an unknown reason. I'm not sure if he was having an awful day, but either way he should not have taken it out on me. It was truly bizarre what a terrible mood he was in. He also just did terrible at his job and another neurologist finally diagnosed me correctly and gave me the correct treatment. I do not recommend him at all.
Dr. Jewell addressed all of my concerns and took the time to show me results and explain them. He was extremely professional yet friendly. Very happy he will be my ongoing doctor.
