Very dismissive of concerns and quite literally never sends prescriptions to the pharmacy. Today he prescribed a new medication at an in person appointment, after weeks of being denied the medication. The prescription was never called in and now the office is closed until Tuesday because of the holiday. We have spent more time playing phone tag with the call center than we have spent time with treatment. Horrible… I have developed some symptoms after my first round of treatment and have been trying to get ahold of anybody for days! I have been on hold waiting for a over an hour for the 2nd time listening to “Your call is important to us, stay on the line for the next available agent”!
Worse experience in my life dealing with my cancer. Spent over 4 years with a professional team of drs in Boston. Dr asik dismissed everything that I told him being a new patient. Didn't read the new patient review questions. Wasn't offered a social worker or nothing. Told me I didn't know what I was ranking about. A d completely took me off meds I've been on for 4 years!!!!! His attitude was disgraceful!!!!!
Dr. Asik is my father's oncologist. My dad has bile duct cancer that spread to his liver and was diagnosed with stage 3 upon initial staging. Dr. Asik is a very good oncologist in my opinion. He is quiet and at first, I thought he wasn't doing everything he could for my dad. When I met him in person and asked him difficult questions and a thorough explanation of things, I was very impressed. He ordered tests "stat" and explained things exceptionally well.
