I recently attended New York’s Art Week opening reception at Arlo Midtown with a friend. When attempting to purchase drinks at the bar, we were explicitly denied service. The bartender claimed we needed wristbands — despite the very few around us not having any wristbands either. Assuming it was a simple organizational oversight, we politely brought the issue to hotel staff and the manager.
