We departed from Dr. Kerns because, while she was great when we first starting taking our sons there years ago, her bedside manner and patience has diminished. I didn't appreciate how her tone was with my children, how her tone was with me, and the correspondence she allows to leave her office is very rude. It's a shame because she was first recommended to us because she had a reputation for working well with children on the autism spectrum, and we were satisfied, so I'm not sure what has changed to change her demeanor. Both of my daughters are patient of Dr. Kerr. We never have any bad experience with Dr. Kerr. She is amazing.
Dr Kern is the best. She’s very knowledgeable and is great with kids. Her office very clearly states you can wait up to 2 hours from your appointment for her. I was told when I was referred to her to wait for her, and do not see anyone else. She performed my son’s surgery and was lovely through the whole thing.
My kids have been seeing Dr Kern for over the past two years. But today was the last straw, I waited almost an hour before my son got called to by first seen for his measurements.i.e way long before he got to see Dr Kern. Hence from my frustration I went to the front desk to check why such the long wait. All things past and we got called. The while ordeal took over more than two hours. I had a truly disappointing experience with this doctor and their office. Unfortunately, a small mistake on my daughter's part - forgetting to clean her lenses one day - led to an incredibly rude response from the staff. To make matters worse, not only did they cancel our contract, but they also kept 50% of our $2500 bill just for one month treatment.
