We had an unknown issue with oil leaking rapidly from a VW Jetta. We had no idea where to take it and where afraid of being taken advantage of, so I asked friends for recommendations. We were lucky to find out it was a minor issue and it was fixed in a day. There was no trying to make us think it was a larger problem to run up the billl- and it would be possible since we don't know anything about cars.
