Our cabin was spotless! The staff was very friendly and the grounds were very nice. The location is perfect! Close to town and also the lake, but when at the cabin feels like you’re in the middle of the forest. There are lots of things to do in the area so there was never a dull moment. I can’t wait for winter to get here and check this place out in the winter months! Will definitely be back!
Setting is great. Rooms are clean and equipped ok. Everything (furniture, mattresses, carpet, road, playground) is dated and worn. No spare toilet paper, no toiletries, no coffee, creamer, or sweetener. For the cost, that isn’t good. Management is nice but didn’t check in or provide info after we paid. Is there WiFi? Who knows? They advertise outdoor grills but then there is a sign in the cabin saying we aren’t allowed to use them.
for context before I start, I did not book this arrangement myself but was invited along for the trip. Check in: awful. Had to wait an hour because the cabin we rented was totally trashed, I know that’s out of their hands and they did clean it -HOWEVER- the clerk came out to my car to give me the keys to the room which I found odd to begin with and peered in through my windows into my car by cranking their neck around to spy through my tinted windows - creepy. This is a great place, comfy beds, beautiful scenery. We were in a smaller cabin so the second bed was in the loft which can be cramped. There was an AC unit, so the temps in the cabin at night were good, even in the summer.
Has potential, but it's the little things that matter. Lots of old cabins in a nice setting, problem is, they are old (but very clean). Although ours had a kitchen, basic necessities such as napkins, paper towels, coffee, sugar are not provided. So, for a one to two night stay, you have to pack in basics. Would be nice to have a few wine/ glasses. Strangely, it had measuring cups and spoons, but no baking pans. A pizza cutter would be nice.
